It also examines how this music found its way into a spiritual realm, with the strain of pared-down religious composition that came to be known as 'holy minimalism'. Although the images relate to personal circumstance indirectly, they are driven by an intense inward reflection, present in the image as an emotional energy. The act of filming reflects my experience of loss and at the same time is an attempt to ground the self in the world once more. The emblem of shadows recurs and points towards the heart of the film's journey - attempting to uncover one's inner darkness, in order to go forwards. The dark passages in the film are a result of dealing with a large amount of “fogged” camera material by bleaching and inverting it. The sequence order of both image and sound are composed entirely by chance.
